Home Meets
Home Meets are an important part of the Tumbling Tigers gymnastics program. We host 2-3 home meets a year.
Volunteer Jobs During Home Meets
Each family is required to sign up to help run the food table, score table or other jobs in the gym such as set up, beam timer, warm up timers, score flashing, clean up, etc. These jobs are extremely important to helping a meet run smoothly and on time. Families are encouraged to sign up to help during a session their gymnast is NOT competing in to allow ALL team families to sit and relax and watch their gymnasts compete. Sign ups for the volunteer jobs are sent electronically prior to the meet.

A brief description of the jobs follows:

Set up: Assist with clearing the floor routine area, setting up judges seats, setting up bleachers in mezzanine, setting up food table, moving equipment - usually done the night before the meet.

Gymnast Check-in: (For Invitational meets only) Check in gymnasts from visiting teams and deliver roster to score table prior to meet starting.

50/50 raffle: Sell raffle tickets to audience during meet as a fundraiser.

Beam timer: Sit next to beam judge during meet and time beam routines with a smartphone. Stop/start timer if gymnast falls, alert gymnast of 10 second warning.

Score flasher: Sit next to judge during meet and flash gymnast scores to audience following routines. Bring judges sheets to score table after each rotation.

Score table: Assist with entering scores into scoring software during meet. Produce sheets for announcer to use during awards. Organize awards during meet. The score table in in the gymnastics center so parents are still able to view their gymnast compete.

Food table: Organize food table donations, sell food to customers during meet for fundraising. The food table is in the gymnasium so parents working thd food table can still watch their gymnast compete.

Awards: Help with announcement of awards and distribution of medals, ribbons, trophies to gymnasts during awards session.

Clean up: Assist with take down of equipment and food table, and returning the gymnastics area to normal set up.

Home Meet Food Table Donations
We ask each family to bring items to sell at our food table (food, drinks or supplies). Sign ups for the food table are sent electronically prior to the meet. All funds earned at the food table goes back to the gymnastics program.
